Ingredients: Black lentils, Yellow Split Peas, Red Lentils, Stoned Wheat, Spices, Salt, Wheat Flour & Fried Onions


Recipe (8 persons)

  • 4 tablespoon of oil
  • 600 grams of meat on bone (chopped into pieces)
  • 2 cardamons
  • 1 tablespoon of crushed ginger & garlic
  • 1/4 cup of fresh mint
  • finely chopped shallots
  • Green chillies finely chopped

From pack: Mixes dhall & cereals, spice sachet, fried onions with wheat flour

Preparation: 

  1. Pre-heat the oil and fry the meat, adding salt, until becomes brown.
  2. Add the ground spices and cook for another 10 minutes
  3. Put the cooked meat with spices into a pressure cooker along with the washed dhall mix and the powdered ingredients with fried onions.
  4. Add 1.5 litre of boiling water and salt to taste
  5. Mix well, close the pressure cooker and allow cooking until meat and the grain are cooked till soft (not too soft)
  6. Add the chopped coriander and the mint leaves and allow to simmer uncovered for 12 minutes.
  7. Serve in small bowls sprinkled with chopped shallots, chillies according to taste and few drops of lemon juice.
